ST. AUGUSTINE – Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University scored 11 runs in the first three innings en route to a 14-1 win over Flagler College in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday night at Drysdale Field.
Flagler dropped to 15-18 overall while Embry-Riddle improved to 17-12. The Saints host Georgia Southwestern State University this weekend in a three-game series. The series starts Friday at 6 p.m. at Drysdale Field.
Timo Aracena belted a three-run home run over the crimson monster in right field to give the Eagles a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
That's all John Barone (2-0) would need as he allowed one run on five hits in 5.2 innings pitched to earn the win.
AJ Marinello socked two home runs, scored three runs, and finished with four runs batted in for Embry-Riddle. Camden Traficante collected a pair of singles, scored a run, and knocked in five more.
Justin Haskins (0-2) surrendered four runs on two hits in one inning pitched for the Saints.
Bryce Fitzgerald went 2-for-3 with a double and he drove in the lone run.
