HARDEEVILLE, S.C. –
Jesse Sullivan went 4-for-6 with three doubles, five runs batted in, and he scored two runs to help lead Flagler College to a 12-6 win over the University of South Carolina Beaufort in a Peach Belt Conference baseball game Friday night at the Richard Gray Sports Complex.
Flagler evened its record to 21-21 overall and 12-10 in the Peach Belt. The Saints have won five of their last six games. USC Beaufort had its three-game winning streak snapped and fell to 11-27 overall and 6-16 in conference play. The same two teams meet tomorrow at 2 p.m.
The Saints used two innings to take command of the game. Flagler scored four runs on three hits and sent 10 men to the plate in the third inning. Sullivan hit a bases-clearing double to left-center and eventually scored on a wild pitch.
Flagler sent 11 men to the plate in the fourth inning and scored five runs on five hits. Sullivan hit a run-scoring double while
Taylor Clapp and
Donovan Garcia each hit an RBI-single.
The Saints took a 12-3 lead into the bottom of the ninth, but allowed three runs before securing the final out of the game.
Daniel Fischer (4-4) got the win after allowing three runs on eight hits in five innings of work.

Drew Rosenberg,
Jace Thomas, and
Huston Wynne all saw time on the hill in relief.
Trey Newland collected three singles, scored two runs, and finished with two runs batted in for Flagler. Clapp went 3-for-6 with a double, a run scored, and he drove in a run.
Cam Dimidjian (1-5) surrendered six runs on six hits in three-plus innings.
Julian Galassi hit two singles and knocked in three runs for the Sand Sharks. Brian Meyer collected three singles and scored twice.
