ST. AUGUSTINE –
Jax Bouknight scored 20 points, dished out six assists, and had four steals in Flagler College's 102-83 loss to No. 24 (NABC Division II Top 25) USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Wednesday night at Flagler Gymnasium.
Flagler fell to 13-8 overall and 6-5 in the Peach Belt. USC Aiken improved to 17-4 overall and 8-3 in conference play.
After a close first half, the Pacers closed it with quick 8-0 spurt to take a 51-41 lead at the half. Flagler's
Omar Figueroa led all scorers with 20 points. USC Aiken shot 65.5 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from 3-point range.
The Pacers got separation in the second half thanks to a 19-5 run that covered a 5:35 stretch.
Figueroa finished with a team-high 23 points for Flagler.
Destin Clark added 15 points, seven rebounds, and six assists.
Tehee Horn led all scorers with 27 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for the Pacers. Tyler Johnson added 23 points and seven rebounds.
For the game, USC Aiken shot 66.7 percent from the field and 60.9 percent from 3-point range. The Pacers also knocked down 8-of-10 from the free throw line.
