ST. AUGUSTINE –
Destin Clark led four Flagler College players in double figures with 22 points in an 88-82 loss to Georgia College & State University in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium.
Flagler fell to 13-9 overall and 6-6 in the Peach Belt. Georgia College improved to 10-12 overall and 3-9 in conference play. Up next for the Saints is Augusta University on Wednesday at the Christenberry Fieldhouse.
The Saints trailed by as many as 12 (81-69) with 3:22 left to go, but went on a 13-3 run over the next 2:54.
Mason Manning's layup with 19 seconds left cut the Bobcat lead to 84-82. GCSU made all four of its free throws to close the game.
Malik Bryant added 18 points to go along with a career-high nine assists for the Saints.
Omar Figueroa chipped in with 16 points while Manning tied his season-high with 10 points.
Brendan Rigsbee led all scorers with 27 points while Austin Sloan added 12 points, nine rebounds, and five assists for the Bobcats.
