GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The men's track and field team placed second at the first-ever Peach Belt Conference Indoor Championships, held at the Alachua County Events Center at Celebration Pointe on Monday. The top three finishers in each event earned all-conference honors.

The Saints collected 96 points. Embry-Riddle scored 228 points to finish in first place, followed by Central State University in third with 86 points.

"We took another step forward as individuals in our respective events, but a much more meaningful step toward becoming a unified group," said head coach and director of cross country/track, Brian Beil. "There were some great performances today, of course, but I was most pleased with the way our men and women showed up for each other when it was needed. Sometimes our sport can feel like a collection of individuals doing their own thing. Today I saw a team."
