GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Flagler College men's indoor track and field team competed at the RADD Sports Invitational at the Alachua County Sports Complex at Celebration Pointe on Friday and Saturday.
 
The Saints had entries in the 60m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1000m, mile and 3000m. As well as field entries in long jump and shot put.
 
Four freshmen competed in the 60m preliminaries with Sam Adebonojo finishing the highest at 27th with a time of 7.18. The next finishers were Ryan Sen (7.21), Sam Humer (7.30) and Caden Vann (7.34) in 31st, 35th and 37th, respectively. 
 
A pair of freshmen, Zach Brainerd and Josh Sea, finished in third and sixth in the 1000-meter run. Brainerd finished with a time of 2:37.58 and Sea followed at 2:39.61. 
 
Freshman John Carbone finished fourth in the mile with a time of 4:19.65 and was followed by senior, Joel Nesi in sixth with a time of 4:20.29. Carbone's time puts him at sixth in the region ranking with Nesi following in seventh.  
 
Houston Harper, a freshman, posted a time of 2:04.78 in the 800-meter run to put him at 16th place. 
 
A trio of freshman competed in the 60-metet hurdles preliminaries. Caden Vann (8.70) and Sam Adebonojo (8.77) finished 10th and 11th. Kruz Jimenez posted a time of 9.35 that earned him 16th. 
 
For the field events, freshman Jude Daly placed sixth in the shot put for the Saints with a 12.89m throw. Kruz Jimenez earned eighth in the triple jump (12.75m) and 14th in the long jump (6.29m). Following him in long jump at 23rd, was freshman Amonyay Pritchard with a 5.49m jump.

The Saints split up and head back to the Alachua County Sports Complex at Celebration Pointe for the Alachua County Collegiate Invitational and the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Jan. 26-27.
