MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. –
Malik Bryant recorded his first double-double of his career with a game-high 26 points and a career-high 10 rebounds in Flagler College's 80-69 win at Georgia College & State University in a Peach Belt Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at the Centennial Center.
Flagler snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 8-6 overall and 1-3 in the Peach Belt. Georgia College lost its sixth game in a row and dropped to 7-7 overall and 0-4 in conference play. The Saints host Augusta University Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.
Mason Manning's transition three-pointer early in the first half gave the Saints a 17-15 lead. Flagler never trailed the rest of the way. The lead swelled to as many as 15 (64-49) after a three-pointer by Bryant with 11:40 to go. He made three treys in a row and sank a career-best six in the game.
Destin Clark added 20 points, six assists, and five rebounds for Flagler.
Jax Bouknight finished with 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Tyler Collier tallied 10 points.
Richard Crawford led the Bobcats with 17 points. Brady Spence recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Brendan Rigsbee and Ian Davis each added 10 points.
