TAMPA, Fla. – Flagler College used a 13-1 run over a 3:44 span in overtime to pull away and defeat Eckerd College 101-93 in a non-conference men's basketball game at the Tampa Classic Saturday afternoon at the Bob Martinez Athletics Center.
The Saints won their fifth game in a row to improve to 6-3 while the Tritons dropped to 6-4. Flagler takes on the host school, University of Tampa, tomorrow at 4 p.m. to wrap up the tournament.
A three-pointer with four seconds left in regulation by Eckerd's George Kimble sent the game to an extra session with the score tied at 86.
The Tritons took an early lead in overtime after Kimble made the first of two free throws, but it was all Saints the rest of the way.

Jax Bouknight three-pointer started the Flagler run and
Kyle Young added a pair of free throws and a layup. The Saints made 5-of-10 from the field in overtime and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Flagler out-rebounded Eckerd 8-0 in the extra session.
Omar Figueroa led the Saints with 25 points while Young came off the bench to supply 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field.
Destin Clark added 13 points and six rebounds while Bouknight tallied 10 points and five assists.
Boom Reeves collected a career-high 11 rebounds.
Jalen Barr finished with seven boards, five points, five assists, two blocks, and two steals.
Kimble scored a game-high 28 points for Eckerd. He added six rebounds, four assists, and three steals to his line. Kent Garard contributed 23 points and seven rebounds while Isaiah Placide finished with 16 points and five rebounds.
