BOCA RATON, Fla. –
Destin Clark scored a season-high 24 points in Flagler College's 94-84 loss at Lynn University in a non-conference men's basketball game Saturday night at the de Hoernle Sports and Cultural Center.
Lynn remains undefeated at 2-0 and Flagler moved to 1-3. Up next for the Saints is Edward Waters University on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium.
Flagler led for the majority of the first half and took a 39-36 lead into the locker rooms. After a
Mason Manning three-pointer gave the Saints a 47-46 lead, the Fighting Knights reeled off a 13-3 run to take a 59-50 lead with under 12 minutes to go. Lynn never trailed again.
Clark added six rebounds and four steals to his line for the Saints.
Omar Figueroa and
Malik Bryant each added 14 points.
Tyler Collier chipped in with nine points.
Tradavis Thompson led six Fighting Knights in double figure points with 19. Jalen Gilmore notched a double-double with 18 points and a game-high 11 assists. Ben Gahlert tacked on 17 points and eight rebounds while Nordin Kapic contributed 15 points. Brad McCabe grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.
Lynn shot 69.7 percent (23-33) from the field in the second half. The Fighting Knights finished with a 55.6 percent (35-63) mark in the game.
