GAINESVILLE, Fla.- The Flagler College women's track & field team competed at the RADD Sports Invitational at the Alachua County Sports Complex at Celebration Pointe on Jan. 19 -20.
"I'm pleased with the way we competed in our heats,"Â head coach of men's and women's cross country/ director of cross country and trackÂ
Brian Beil said. "This early in the season, I'm really just looking for our runners to compete well and not worry too much about times. As we continue to work through this training cycle, our times will get there. Having that said, we had some very good performances for this early."Â

On the first day of the meet, five Flagler women competed in the 1000m run.
Clemence Treguer (3:10.19) finished fifth followed by
Isabella Santeufemio (3:12.98) in seventh. Mattison Culver crossed the finish line at 3:30.71 to take 13
th, while Franesca Pece (3:39.54) and
Leeda Clark (3:41.07) finished in 19
th and 20
th place.

During the 3000m run,
Riley Carter (11:17.13) and
Sammy Andress (11:58.39) finished in 18
th and 24
th place, respectively.

On day two of the meet, the Saints had entries in the mile, 800m and the 4x400m relay.

Megan Churchill led her heat with a time of 5:07.23 and placed fifth overall in the mile.
Monika Kubai (5:09.57) was the next Saint in ninth, followed by
Sam Gayton (5:19.55) in 20
th place.

In the 800m run,
Lea Steinbach finished with a time of 2:25.72 to secure 12
th and
Eden Goddard (2:30.36) took 18
th place.
Tori Mills and Blair Fowler were the next two Saints, placing 27
th and 30
th. Â
Paxton Marshall finished with a time of 2:58.04 in 34
th place.

Churchill, Steinbach, Gayton and Kubai ran the 4x400m relay, earning a combined time of 4:24.17 to finish in 11
th place. Goddard, Fowler, Marshall and Mills earned a 12
th place finish with a combined time of 4:45.49.

The Saints will return to the Alachua County Sports Complex at Celebration Pointe on Jan.26-27 for the Alachua County Invitational.
