Esther Santiago recorded wins in singles and doubles on Sunday at Augusta State.

No. 46 Augusta State tops No. 41 Flagler, 6-3

Box Score AUGUSTA, Ga. – No. 46 (ITA/Division II ranking) Augusta State University defeated No. 41 Flagler College 6-3 in a Peach Belt Conference women's tennis match Sunday afternoon at the Newman Tennis Center.

Augusta State improved to 11-3 overall and 6-2 in the Peach Belt while Flagler fell to 1-10 overall and 1-4 in conference play.

The Lady Jaguars opened by winning two of the three doubles matches. Barbora Sebkova and Esther Santiago earned Flagler's only win at doubles with an 8-4 victory over Roberta Oliveira and Julie Fontaine.

Sebkova and Santiago recorded Flagler's only wins in singles play. Sebkova defeated Victoria Lindqvist in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-0, at No. 1. Santiago also won in straight sets, by the same scores, but against Liv Pettersson at No. 2.

Flagler will take on the defending national champion, and currently top-ranked, Armstrong Atlantic State University on Wednesday (Mar. 20) at Savannah, Ga.
