No. 13 Flagler women down Augusta State, 6-3

Box Score AUGUSTA, Ga. – No. 13 (Campbell's/ITA Division II Top 25) Flagler College defeated Augusta State University 6-3 in a Peach Belt Conference women's tennis match Sunday afternoon at the Newman Tennis Center.

Flagler took two out of the three doubles matches to start the day. Rachel Gould (Toronto, Ontario, Vaughan Road Academy) and Barbora Sebkova (Prague, Czech Republic, Gymnázium a Sportovní gymnázium Prípotocní) defeated Julie Fontaine and Victoria Lindqvist 8-3 at No 1 and Veronica Figueroa (Orlando, Fla., Cypress Creek HS) and Jennifer Saviano (Davie, Fla., St. Thomas Aquinas HS) teamed to beat Roberta Oliveira and Marina Ferreria 8-6 at No. 2.

The Saints swept through Nos. 2-5 singles, winning all four matches in straight sets. Esther Santiago posted a win at No. 5 singles 6-3 and 6-4.

Flagler hosts North Georgia on Mar. 3 at 11 a.m. at the Flagler Tennis Center.
