DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - In their final roud match of the regular season, the No. 16 Flagler College women's tennis team fell 6-1 to No. 3 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University this afternoon at the Crotty Tennis Center.
Playing their second match this week, the Saints split and went 1-1. This loss moves the Saints to 11-9 overall and 4-6 against ranked opponents. Embry-Riddle earned their 20th win of the season, moving to 20-1 overall. Flagler will host their annual "Senior Day" tomorrow against the second half of their double-header, Edward Waters University at 6 PM. At the conclusion of doubles play the match will take a brief intermission to honor

Lea Jakic won their fourth doubles match in a row. The duo defeated Benedetta Sensi and Daniela Fernandez 6-4. Claiming her seventh consecutive win was No. 13
Elena Ondobo. Laura Cuesta Bret and Ondobo exchanged 6-4 sets until the sophomore took a narrow 1-0(10-8) set to finish the match. During the match, Flagler faced one ranked opponent in No. 37 Cuesta Bret and Amelie Gindl at doubles and two ranked opponents in No. 21 Gindl at court one and No. 28 Fernandez at court four in singles.
