In the night cap, the Tars out-lasted the Saints in a 12-inning, 3-hour 21-minute epic. With one out in the bottom of the 12th, Meredith Foster reached first on an infield single and took second when Brittney Pumpelly was hit by a pitch. Pederson, who just missed the cycle in the first game, hit a base hit to left field which scored Foster with the winning run.

The Tars had built a quick 3-0 lead, but the Saints plated three in the fourth. Tori Jolley (Keystone Heights, Fla./Keystone Heights HS) hit a two-run home run in the inning to tie the game.

Chelsea Welch (Pensacola, Fla./Escambia HS) belted a two-run homer in Flagler's three-run sixth and gave the Saints a 6-3 cushion.

However, Rollins answered with three runs in the bottom of the seventh. Foster led off with a walk and Pumpelly singled to center to put runners on first and second. Pederson hit an RBI-double to left to get the Tars to within two, 6-4. Jana Owen (St. Augustine, Fla./Florida CC-Jacksonville) came on to relieve starter Kristen Chapman (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood HS). After the first out was recorded, a wild pitch made it 6-5, and then Christine Roser reached on a fielder's choice and Pederson scored from third to tie the game. Rollins would go on to leave the bases loaded and the game would go into extra innings.

Both teams had opportunities to win the game, but neither could push across a run. The Tars left the bases loaded in the eighth. The Saints had runners at second and third in the ninth with two outs, but couldn't score. Both had runners in scoring position in the 10th and Flagler had runners at second and third with two outs in the 11th and couldn't push the winning run across.

In the top of the 12th, Hill hit a two-out single and Jolley followed with a base hit back to Rollins reliever Frame, she uncorked a wild throw to first base allowing the runners to advance. Hill came around third, but was thrown out at the plate to end the inning.

Pederson went 3-for-6 with a pair of doubles, scored twice and drove two more in for the Tars. Foster and Pumpelly each singled twice.

Frame (2-0) pitched eight innings in relief, allowed seven hits, three runs and struck out 14.

Jolley went 2-for-6 with a home run, a run scored and collected two RBI. Brittney Hatem (Hialeah, Fla./Wallace CC-Dothan) singled, doubled and scored a run while Lauren Ely (Winter Springs, Fla./Winter Springs HS) singled twice.

Riddick (6-4) tossed five innings in relief and surrendered five hits and one run.

Flagler will continue its road swing on Friday (Feb. 26) at Palm Beach Atlantic in a 4 p.m. doubleheader.
