Five Saints earn academic all-district honors

ST. AUGUSTINE – The Flagler College softball team had five of its members selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team, according to a release Tuesday. Stephanie Daly, Raquelle Justice, Kiley McQuillan, Emily Ricci, and Jordan Sheets were all honored.  

To be eligible for Academic All-District® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, and have played in at least 90 percent of the team's games or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings. No athlete is eligible until he/she has completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility.   

Daly, a sophomore outfielder, is a business major who holds a 4.00 cumulative grade point average. She ended her year leading the team with a .340 batting average. The Wesley Chapel, Florida native started all 50 games. She collected 52 hits, which five were doubles. Daly drove in 23 runs and scored 16 more. She finished with a .990 fielding percentage with three assists. She was a Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar in 2025.
 
Justice, a sophomore designated player, is a psychology major who has a 3.81 cumulative grade point average. The Walla Walla, Washington native grabbed 18 hits, including three doubles. Justice drove in 10 runs and scored nine herself. She was a Peach Belt Conference Honor Roll Silver Scholar and a D2 ADA award recipient in 2025.
 
McQuillan, a senior third base, is a public relations major who holds a 3.55 cumulative grade point average. She finished the year with a .296 batting average. The Orlando, Florida native collected 48 hits, including seven doubles and five home runs. McQuillan led the team runs batted in with 37 and scored 18 more. She also led in slugging percentage (.432). McQuillan was a first team All-Peach Belt Conference selection earlier this year. In 2025, she earned the academic all-conference honors, was a Peach Belt Conference Presidential Honor Roll Silver Scholar, and D2 ADA award recipient.

Ricci, a junior catcher, is a business administration major who has a 3.76 GPA. The Marietta, Georgia native finished with a .270 batting average, including 41 hits with four doubles, one home run, 14 RBI, and she led the team in runs scored with 31. She led the team in stolen bases with 24 and caught 12 runners stealing. Ricci is a two-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar.

Sheets, a senior pitcher, is a criminology major who has a 3.88 GPA. The New Port Richey, Florida native finished with a 3.98 earned run average with 82.2 innings pitched. She is a two-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll scholar. Sheets was selected as the PBC Pitcher of the Week on March 31, 2025. She is a two-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar and a D2 ADA award recipient last year.
