Kyleigh Taylor of the softball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Mach 13.
In the three games played last week, Taylor batted .556 with four home runs, seven runs batted in, and had a 1.889 slugging percentage to lead the Saints to a 2-1 record. The DeLand, Florida native socked a pair of homers in a 7-2 win over Barry University (March 9) and had two more in the second game of a doubleheader vs. Columbus State University (March 13), a 9-4 win by Flagler. She hit a three-run shot against the Lady Cougars and finished with five runs batted in.
Taylor went into Monday's game leading the team with a .371 batting average, 23 hits, nine home runs, 29 RBI, an .839 slugging percentage, and a .473 on-base percentage.
