Derrick Ellis, Jr. of the men’s basketball team was named Athlete of the Month, sponsored by St. Augustine Inn, for the month of December.

Ellis was named player of the week on Jan. 3.

(From Jan. 3 release): Ellis poured in a season-high 19 points, 17 of which came in the second half, in Flagler College's 93-84 win over Young Harris College on Dec. 20. He dished out a season-high eight assists and tied his career high with four steals.
