Brett Moreland of the baseball team was selected as the Student-Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Courtyard and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott St. Augustine, for the month of April.
Moreland was selected as the Student-Athlete of the Week two weeks in a row last month (Apr. 22 and 29).
In the month of April, Moreland led the team with a .351 batting average, 26 hits, 13 runs scored, 38 total bases, and a .514 slugging percentage. He batted .500 in the last week of the season and helped lead the Saints to a 3-1 record. Moreland's two-run triple was the game-winning hit at Lander Apr. 21.
He finished the season batting a team-high .385. He also led the team with 80 hits, 36 runs scored, 113 total bases, a .543 slugging percentage and a .419 on-base percentage.
