Andrea Fernandez of the women's soccer team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week following the period ending Nov. 14.

The freshman from Pozoblanco, Spain scored a goal and tallied two assists to help Flagler win its third consecutive Peach Belt Conference Tournament title this past Sunday. Fernandez was selected as the tournament's most valuable player. Before the tourney, she became the third player in history of the Peach Belt to win the league's freshman and player of the year honors. Fernandez also was the recipient of the Select Sport Gold Ball Award emblematic of the league's top goal scorer.

For the season, Fernandez has scored 15 goals and tallied 12 assists for a total of 42 points, which is tied for second most in the program's history.
