Tori Pearce of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 30.
Pearce averaged a double-double in the two games last week. She scored 17.0 points and grabbed 10.0 rebounds per game. The Bay Shore, New York native also averaged 7.5 assists per game and made 44.1 percent of her shots. Last Saturday, she became the second Flagler women's basketball player, in the NCAA D2 era, to record a triple-double when she scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and tallied 10 assists against No. 5 (WBCA Division II Top 25) Lander University.Â
Pearce is second in the PBC in assists (6.1), third in scoring (17.7 ppg), fourth in steals (2.8), sixth in free throw percentage (69.6), seventh in field goal percentage (46.3), and eighth in rebounding (7.4). Â
