Damerit Brown of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Jan. 27.

Brown was the leading scorer for the Saints last week as he averaged 23.3 points per game. He made 52.2 percent of his 3-point attempts and shot 95.2 percent from the free throw line. Last Wednesday, Brown scored a career-high 35 points and grabbed 10 rebounds at Georgia Southwestern. He broke a 27-year old school record with 15 made free throws, and he attempted 15. He added 19 points vs. North Georgia to go along with 16 more last Saturday vs. Francis Marion.

Brown leads the Peach Belt Conference in free throw percentage (89.8) and is fourth in 3-point field goals made (49).
