For the third time this season, Williesha Spencer of the women's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Dec. 22.
She was selected as the player of the week on Nov. 17 and Dec. 8. She is the final student-athlete of the week for the year 2013.
Shorty Spencer averaged 23.5 points and 7.5 assists per game as Flagler split two Peach Belt Conference games. She had a 15:4 assist-turnover ratio and made 10 of her 11 free throws. She scored a team-high 26 points and dished out seven assists at North Georgia. Spencer added 21 points and a season-high eight assists vs. Montevallo.
In the PBC, she ranks second in points and free throws, third in field goals and points per game, sixth in assists, seventh in assist-turnover ratio and ninth in free throw percentage.
