Corey Mundy of the men's cross country team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Oct. 21. This is the second time this year he has been selected the student-athlete of the week.
Mundy earned first-team All-Peach Belt Conference honors after finishing seventh at the PBC Championships last weekend at Montevallo. His time of 25:48.58 was the fastest time a Flagler runner has ever recorded in the school's four-year history in the event. The time was Mundy's fastest in an 8K and he shaved over one minute of his time from last year's championships. It was the third-fastest time ever by a Flagler runner. He also helped lead Flagler to its best finish, third place, at the PBC's.
Mundy was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
