D.J. Ferguson of the men's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Jan. 23. This is the third time he has been selected as the player of the week (Nov. 28 and Jan. 9).

Ferguson averaged 16.5 points, 6-5 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game last week. He also shot 51.9% (14-27) and averaged 37.5 minutes per game. At Georgia College last Monday, he tallied 14 points with six assists and five rebounds. Ferguson scored a team-high 19 points with 10 assists and eight rebounds last Saturday vs. Francis Marion.

For the season, Ferguson is averaging 10.4 points and a nation-best 10.0 assists per game.
