Treva Mason of the women's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, this time for the period ending Jan. 26.
Mason averaged a double-double last week with 11.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. She shot a team-best 58.8% (10-17) from the field. Mason also led the team with four steals.
She recorded her team-leading fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds in a loss last Monday at Columbus State. Last Saturday in Flagler's win over Lander, Mason tallied 11 points, nine rebounds and three steals.
For the season, Mason is averaging 8.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. She leads the team with a 51.9 shooting percentage from the field. Mason ranks eighth in the Peach Belt Conference in field goal percentage, third in offensive rebounds (70), seventh in total rebounds (144) and rebounds per game.
