Treva Mason of the women's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 23.
This is the second time this year Mason has been selected as the athlete of the wek (Jan. 26)
Mason averaged a double-double last week as she scored 15.7 points and grabbed 13.7 rebounds per game as Flagler posted a 2-1 record. She also made 57.1% of her shots from the field. Mason scored a game-high 15 points and gathered a game-high 10 rebounds in a loss at USC Aiken. She followed that with a 12-point, 18-rebound effort in a 78-72 win at Francis Marion. Last Saturday, Mason came off the bench on "Senior Day" to score 20 points and grab a game-high 13 rebounds in a win over UNC Pembroke that clinched Flagler's second consecutive PBC Tournament berth. Mason leads the team with eight double-doubles, including having one in the last four games in a row.
She is fourth in the conference in field goal percentage, third in rebounds, fifth in rebounds per game and leads the league in offensive rebounds.
