Chad July of the men's basketball team has been selected as the Student-Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Courtyard and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott St. Augustine, for the month of December. He earned player of the week honors on Dec. 5.

July averaged 19.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for the week ending Dec. 5 as Flagler posted a pair of victories, including one over No. 5 USC Aiken.

For the month of December, July averaged 9.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as Flagler posted a 2-2 record.

For the season, he is averaging 10.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. July has made 50% (55-110) of his shots from the field.
