ST. AUGUSTINE – The No. 14-ranked (SCOREBOARD by clippd) Flagler College women's golf team is tied for the lead with a 13-over par 301 after the first round of the Peach Belt Conference Championship, which was played this afternoon at the King and Bear (par 72; 6,093 yards) at the World Golf Village. The second round is tomorrow with a 7:40 a.m. start, but the Saints will tee off beginning at 8:30 a.m. on hole No. 1.

Three Saints - Addison King, Sofia Terzoli, and Victoria Veator - are in the top 10. King and Terzoli are tied for second place with a 2-over 74 and are one stroke off the lead. Veator is tied for seventh place with a 4-over 76.

The women started on the back nine this morning and King recovered after a bogey on No. 10. She followed that with a birdie, four consecutive pars, and an eagle on No. 16. Terzoli had 16 pars and wo bogeys. Veator made par on all nine holes on the back side and went birdie-par on the first two holes of the front side.

Mackenzie Connell of the University of North Georgia leads the 34-woman field with a 1-over par 73.

No. 15 North Georgia is tied with Flagler for the lead at 13-over. No. 6 Lander University is in third place with a 20-over 308.

Tabitha Hanely is in 13^th place with a 5-over 77 and Henriette Stranda is tied for 16^th place with a 7-over 79 for the Saints.
