ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College's Sofia Terzoli was named the Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year according to a press release Thursday morning by conference officials. Joining Terzoli on the all-conference first team were Henriette Stranda and Tabitha Hanely.

Terzoli is the fifth golfer to receive freshman of the year accolades in the conference's history. She joins the list of Flagler golfers who won the same award: Marie Santacroce (2012), Lara Ardler (2016), Daniela Alonso (2020), and Stella Jelinek (2023).

Stranda, a senior from Kråkstad, Norway, earned her third first team all-conference nod. She leads the team with a 73.24 strokes per round average. She has five top 10 and three top-five finishes this year. Stranda won the Eckerd Invitational (Sept. 22-23) with a 7-under par 209 to begin the year and then won the Flagler Fall Slam (Oct. 27-28) with a 10-under 206. She was selected as the PBC Golfer of the Week on Sept. 29. Stranda is ranked No. 3 in the country by SCOREBOARD.    

Hanely, a senior from Bradenton, Florida, earned her first all-conference honor. Her scoring average of 75.46 strokes per round is third on the team. Hanely had three top 10 finishes and one top five. She finished in a tie for fifth place at the Flagler Fall Slam with a 1-over 217. She was selected as the co-PBC Golfer of the Week on Oct. 13. Hanely is ranked No. 55 in the nation by SCOREBOARD.

Terzoli, a freshman from Baveno, Italy has the second-best scoring average on the team at 75.29. She has two top 10 finishes and one top five. Terzoli finished in a tie for fourth place with a 1-over 214 at the Emerald Coast Collegiate (March 8-10). She was selected as the PBC Golfer of the Week on March 16. Terzoli is ranked No. 59 in the country by SCOREBOARD.

The Saints host the PBC Tournament starting Sunday with the first round at the King and Bear Golf Course at the World Golf Village.
