DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Flagler came up short in the last game of the series, 4-2, against No. 8 (NCFA Division II Top 25) University of North Georgia in a Peach Belt Conference softball game Saturday afternoon at the Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium.
Flagler fell to 10-32 overall and 6-15 in the Peach Belt. North Georgia is now 36-8 overall and 16-5 in conference play. The Saints will face Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in a non-conference single game Tuesday starting at 5 p.m. at Daytona Beach, Florida.

Olivia Burns, unearned. They got momentum in the sixth with a double from
Stephanie Daly to score Burns, but it wasn't enough.
In the first, the Nighthawks tied up the game, then added one run in the third, and extended their lead with two more runs in the fifth.
Chloe Poss (20-5) grabbed the win. She went six innings, had eight strikeouts, nine fly outs and two ground outs. In one stretch, Poss retired 14-of-16 Flagler batters. Caroline Conner grabbed the save.
Sydnee Reaves went 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run, and scored twice. Jenna Miles had two singles with a run scored and one more batted in. Carleigh Knowles got a double with one run scored and one batted in.
Riley Rowe (5-14) got the loss. She allowed four runs, gave up nine hits, and produced 13 flyouts and four ground outs.
Burns hit a single and scored two runs. Smith had two singles and had one run batted in. Daly hit a double with a run batted in.
