COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Flagler College men's tennis team dropped their first conference match of the season against Columbus State University, 5-2, this afternoon at the John W. Walden Tennis Center.
Flagler falls to 15-3 overall and 4-1 in conference while the Cougars rise to 14-2 and 3-0. On Sunday, Apr. 19, the Saints will host their annual "Senior Day' match against Middle Georgia State University at 2 PM.
The Saints switched around their doubles pairings and only found one to emerge victorious. On court two,
Ilian Borlee and
Simon Malis defeated Thomas Cardona and Samer Al Tori 6-3. During singles play the Saints faced three ranked opponents. On court three, No. 17 Malis was one of two victors. The junior defeated Andrea Sandrone in two 6-4 sets. No. 43
Aly El Rafie took court six, defeating Elias Peter 6-3 and 6-2.
