MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – No. 3 (ITA Collegiate Division II rankings) Flagler College rolled to a 7-0 win over Georgia College & State University in a Peach Belt Conference men's tennis match Friday afternoon at the Centennial Center Tennis Courts.
Flagler won its sixth match in a row and improved to 15-2 overall and 4-0 in the Peach Belt. GCSU dropped to 4-9 overall and 0-3 in conference play. Flagler visits No. 5 Columbus State University this Sunday at 11 a.m.
The Saints cruised through doubles play winning both matches 6-1 to earn the first team point.
Flagler won all six doubles matches in straight sets. No. 11-ranked
Ilian Borlee won his 15
th match in a row as he defeated David Munoz Botia 6-1 and 7-6(2). No. 47
Raphael Rousson extended his winning streak to 10 matches with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Finn O'Neill. No. 37
Aniss Rafiq clinched the team win at No. 1 singles as he bested Chase Martin, 6-3 and 6-4.
