ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Senior
Carley Tepel led the No. 1 Flagler College women's lacrosse team to a strong 14-9 win over No. 8 Lynn University this afternoon at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.
The Saints elevate to a 8-0 overall record, 4-0 against ranked opponents, while the Fighting Knights drop to 3-2. The Saints will current No. 24 Anderson University (S.C.) on Thursday, Mar. 12 at 12 p.m.
The Saints found success in nearly ever category during the win. Going 11-12 on clears, the Saints also outclassed the Fighting Knights in total shots on goal, 20-15 and ground balls, 15-7. A heavy four goal run, led by
Ava Lambros with two, gave the Saints an early lead and never looked back. Lambros finished with three goals along with
Jessica Wright. Wright tied a match high five points with her additional two ground balls. Tepel was the punctuation on the match, scoring three unanswered goals halfway through the third period when it was a one possession match. Tepel would finish with five goals.
Ella Pinder continued to be the Swiss army knife for the Saints as she led the defense with two caused turnovers, two ground balls and three draw controls. Pinder went on to record an assist and a goal. As a whole, 10 different Saints caused a turnover.
Claudia Tanksley was the game changer at draw control, winning four of her five attempts, setting a team and season high. As a whole, 10 different Saints caused a turnover. In at goal was

Flagler and Lynn faced each other in the semifinal round of the NCAA National Tournament in the spring of 2025. This is Flagler's first win against the Fighting Knights since 2023.
