ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Flagler College men's tennis team swept Lenoir-Rhyne University 4-0 this afternoon at the Pollard Tennis Center.
The Saints' dominance continues as they advance to 8-1 overall while the Bears fall to 5-1. The Saints will host top five opponent Wayne State University on Friday, Mar. 13 at 12 p.m.
Doubles gave the Saints their first point.
Aly El Rafie and
Filip Kana remain undefeated at court one, as they took their match 6-3 against Viktor Ferreira and Spencer Hudson. The clinching victory came on court two from
Ilian Borlee and
Simon Malis who defeated Paul Daniel Meyer and Lucas Galy 6-2.
In singles, the match was capitalized from courts one, two and three. New No. 19
Simon Malis took the Saints first singles point after defeating Paul Daniel Meyer 6-0 and 6-3. No. 12
Ilian Borlee defeated Elijah Blackshaw in two 6-2 sets, followed up No. 24
Aniss Rafiq who defeated Ferreira 6-4 and 6-2.
