Flagler in fifth place after 36 holes at Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate

ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College is in fifth place with a 21-over par 597 (294-303) after the first two rounds of the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate this afternoon at the St. Johns Golf & Country Club (par 72; 7,136 yards). The final round begins tomorrow at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.

Nic Eberhard is in a tie for seventh place with a 1-over 145 (74-71) to lead Flagler. He pocketed three birdies in the first round and three more in the second. Eberhard also made 24 pars.

No. 8 (SCOREBOARD Division II Top 25) St. Mary's University of Texas leads the 18-team field with a 2-under 574 (287-287). No. 18 University of North Georgia follows in second place nine strokes back with a 7-over 583 (295-288). No. 10 Catawba College is in third place with a 12-over 588 (290-298). No. 7 Georgia Southwestern State University is in fourth place with a 19-over 595 (296-299). Seven teams are ranked in the SCOREBOARD Division II Top 25.

Topping the 99-man field through two rounds was Baptiste Touchard of St. Mary's who carded a 4-under 140 (71-69). He holds a two-stroke lead over Mattia D'Errico of Wingate University and Guillaume Paquette of St. Mary's.

Matthew French and PJ Herron of Flagler are in a logjam in 25th place with a 6-over 150. Dylan Mason is in a tie for 70th place with a 13-over 157. Masen McKain carded a 15-over 159 while Rocco Randazzo, playing as an individual, posted a 17-over 161.
