ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Flagler College women's volleyball junior outside hitter Marley Middlebrooks has been named the D2VB Stats Southeast Region Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 19-25 after recording 57 kills and 44 digs across three matches.

D2VB Stats recognizes one Player of the Week in each of the eight NCAA Division II regions, as well as one National Player of the Week, based on individual performances reflected in Division II box scores.

The Panama City, Fla. native helped the Saints post a 2-1 recorded during the week, averaging 4.38 kills and 3.38 digs per set. Middlebrooks' offensive production continues to establish her as one of the nation's top players in her position. She currently ranks sixth in NCAA Division II in kills per set and seventh in points per set.

Middlebrooks delivered her best performance of the season to date in Friday's five-set victory over Peach Belt Conference opponent Augusta University on Oct. 23. She recorded 20 kills, 22 digs and four blocks to help lead the Saints to victory. Her performance at outside hitter helped power Flagler's comeback after falling behind two sets to none.

"Marley has had a tremendous season, and she would be the first to tell you her success is the result of a complete team effort. Marley is the sweetest kid in the world, but she is a fierce competitor. She has worked extremely hard and is more deserving of any individual accolades she receives. She is first and foremost a great teammate and a wonderful ambassador of the standards and culture of Flagler Volleyball," head coach Jeff Reynolds commented.

Middlebrooks and the Saints will travel to Cochran, Ga. to face conference opponent Middle Georgia State University on Friday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 31, at 1 p.m.
