TURNING POINT
Flagler jumped on the visiting Knights out of the gate as the Saints struck first 13 minutes in. Middle Georgia goalkeeper Philip Haenel attempted to send an outlet pass to his defender, but a poor touch was stolen by Philip Jung. As the sophomore raced down the right side of the box, he slid a pass across the box and through the Knights defense to find Tim Wahlborg in front of goal. The senior tapped a right-footer past the diving goalkeeper to give the Saints an early lead.

Middle Georgia would contain the Saints offense for the remainder of the first half. However, Flagler dialed up the pressure, netting four goals over the final 45 minutes of action. Just three minutes into the second half, Middle Georgia sent a cross into the box, which was stolen by the Saints defense. Filip Hornburg went striding down the middle of the field and sent a through ball to a speedy Henry Okenla. The junior received the pass before a sliding Knights tackler could interrupt the attack and beat the goalkeeper to the bottom left corner of goal.

Just eight minutes later, the Saints struck again by forcing another defensive miscue from the Knights. Following a turnover in the Saints attacking zone, senior Oliver Lindstrom gathered and sent a chip over two Middle Georgia defenders and found Finn Weigelt all alone. The senior had the Saints second straight one-on-one look with the Knights goalkeeper and beat him to extend the lead to 3-0.

The Saints remained aggressive despite the lead and found the back of the net again just three minutes later. Attacking down the right side of the box, senior Luke Williams sent a cross in and found Weigelt who buried his second goal of the match.

Flagler would add one final goal 10 minutes after due to ample pressure on the Knights' defense. Looking at a three-on-one opportunity, Callum Stokes slid a pass into the box and found Tim Wahlborg who ripped a shot on goal, which was saved by the Knights goalkeeper. However, the rebound found Dani Freire who put a shot on goal, which was saved but deflected out to Wahlborg who sent another shot off the right post. The rebound found Stokes who drilled a strike from the right side of the box past the keeper to round out the impressive 5-0 victory.
