ST. AUGUSTINE –
Aspen Weeks tied her career high with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting to help lead Flagler College to an 87-30 rout of Trinity College of Florida in a non-conference women's basketball game Saturday afternoon at Flagler Gymnasium.
Flagler snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 7-8 overall Trinity, a member of the United States Collegiate Athletics Association (USCAA), dropped to 1-2. The Saints return to Peach Belt Conference play on Wednesday against Lander University at 5:30 p.m. at Flagler Gym.
The Saints opened the game on a 13-1 run and never looked back. All 10 players for Flagler scored at least two points.
Carleigh Grimm added nine points and 11 rebounds for Flagler.
Emerson Kutz tacked on nine points.
Natalie Herrin,
Dennaye Hinds, and
Mckenna Morrison all scored eight points apiece.
Flagler tallied 10 steals and forced 20 Tiger turnovers. The Saints scored 31 points off those turnovers.
Ava Graham scored a team-high 18 points for the Tigers.
