Saints and No. 19 Bearcats play to a draw

ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College and No. 19 (United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25) Lander University played to a scoreless draw in a Peach Belt Conference men's soccer match Wednesday afternoon at Saints Field.

Flagler moves to 4-1-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the Peach Belt. The Saints are 2-0-2 in the last four matches of this series. The last time Flagler played to a 0-0 draw was Sept. 23, 2023 at the University of Tampa. Lander leaves with a 1-0-5 overall record and a 1-0-2 mark in league play. Flagler hosts PBC newcomer Middle Georgia State University on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

The Saints did not have a shot in the first half and finished the match with 10. Henry Okenla led the way for Flagler with four shots, three of which were on frame. Lander had nine shots in the first half and finished with just 11 for the match. Christian Hatley led the Bearcats with three shots.

Ryan Rivas recorded his fourth shutout of the season, and his 14th of his career, for the Saints. He collected five saves. Conrad Knight also finished with five saves for the Bearcats.

Each team had three corner kicks and Lander held a 15-11 edge in fouls.
