GULFPORT, Fla. – Flagler College is one stroke off the lead after 36 holes with a 12-over par 588 (288-300) at the Eckerd Invitational, which was held Monday at the Pasadena Yacht & Country Club (par 72; 5,996 yards). The final round begins tomorrow at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
Henriette Stranda leads the 70-woman field with a 4-under 140 (72-68). She had five birdies and eight pars in the first round and had six birdies to go along with 10 pars in round two. This is the season opening tournament for the Saints.
Wingate University leads the 11-team field with an 11-over 587 (294-293). Anderson University follows Flagler in third with a 21-over 597 (296-301). The host school, Eckerd College, is in fourth place with a 26-over 602 (295-307). Rounding out the top five is Lynn University with a 28-over 604 (300-304).
Amely Bochaton of Wingate trails Stranda by two strokes with a 2-under 142 (70-72). Sophie Foulds of Eckerd is in third place with an even par 144 (70-74). Olivia Roberts of Anderson and Loa Johannsson of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University are tied for fourth place with a 1-over 145.
Victoria Veator is in seventh place with a 3-over 147 (70-77). She was tied for the lead after 18 holes after carding a career-low 70 (-2).
Tabitha Hanely is in a tie for eighth place with a 4-over 148 (71-77).
Sofia Terzoli is in a tie for 24
th place with a 9-over 153 (75-78) while
Addison King, playing as an individual, is locked in a tie for 32
nd place with a 12-over 156 (82-74).
Ida Petersen (+20) and
Halahn Lee (+29), playing as an individual, rounds out the Saints.
