ST. AUGUSTINE – The Flagler College women's lacrosse team moved to No. 12 in the final IWLCA Division II Top 25 poll of the season, released this afternoon.
The Saints (13-6 overall and 4-0 in the Gulf South Conference) finished their season off in the first round of the NCAA DII National Tournament. For the third consecutive year, the Saints won the GSC tournament and regular season titles.
Flagler is one of two Gulf South teams in the national rankings. Lander University (13-4) finished at No. 21.
The top five has the national champion University of Tampa at No. 1 (21-1), followed by the runner-up, Adelphi University (19-4) at No. 2. Florida Southern College holds at No. 3 (18-3), while the University of Indianapolis jumps to No. 4 (15-7). West Chester University rounds out at No. 5 (19-1).
