Misch and Treguer lead the Saints at Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The women's track and field team finished their two-day meet at the Running Elements Classic hosted by the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University earlier today at the ERAU Track Complex.

The meet had a variety of different competitors, ranging from NCAA Division I institutes like Jacksonville University and the University of North Florida to Division III institutes like Rowan University. Flagler looks to their final stretch of the season as they participate in the Georgia Showdown at Georgia Southern University on April 12.

On the first day of competition, Friday, the day was highlighted by the 100 meter hurdles. Zoe Zinnie set a new school record in the event, running a 15.40. Clemence Treguer took part in the 1500 meter run, taking home sixth out of 90 runners in a time of 4:43.99. Zoie Marchant finished close behind, taking eighth in 4:44.33. Chloe Smith was the last Saint to crack the top 10, placing ninth in 4:45.45. Competing in the javelin, Sara Miller took eighth out of 21 throwers, with a distance of 31.79 meters.

Saturday saw the Saints compete the best in the 800 meter run. Abigail Misch finished in 2:13.56 to place sixth out of 75. Marchant finished in 10th place where she came in at 2:16.58.
