AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College scored five runs, only two were earned, in the last three innings to rally past Augusta University 10-6 in a Peach Belt Conference baseball game Sunday afternoon at Jaguar Field.
Flagler improved to 30-18 overall and 13-14 in the Peach Belt. Augusta dropped to 12-38 overall and 8-19 in conference play. Both teams will compete in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament next weekend. The official brackets will be released later, but Flagler will be the No. 6 seed and take on No. 3 Georgia College & State University on Friday at Greenwood, South Carolina. Augusta will be the No. 8 seed and will take on the No. 1 seed University of North Georgia at Dahlonega on Friday.
The Jaguars committed five errors in the game today, and the last two led to three unearned Saints runs in the final three innings.
Flagler tied the game at 6-all in the top of the seventh after 
Caden Kresak scored on a ground out. 
George Gilson reached on a fielding error by the Augusta third baseman and 
Tripp Davis singled into the hole at shortstop to put runners on first and second. Dawson Campbell's (0-3) pickoff attempt at first base got away and went down the right field line allowing Davis to sprint to third and Gilson scored to put the Saints on top 7-6.
The Saints added two unearned runs in the eighth as Kresak's infield single scored a run and 
Eli Maddox followed with a sacrifice fly.
Carson Page had an RBI-single in the ninth.
Drew Rosenberg (3-0) tossed 5.1 scoreless innings in relief as he scattered two hits and struck out three. 
Daniel Fischer started and tossed two-plus innings before 
Keegan Leckband came in to pitch.
Taylor Shultz led the 14-hit attack by Flagler as he collected four singles and scored two runs. Davis finished 3-for-5 with a double, two runs batted in, and he scored a run. Maddox went 2-for-3 with a double with a double, two RBI, and a run scored. Gilson scored three runs to go along with a single and a double. Kresak singled twice, scored two runs, and he drove in another.
Campbell took the loss for Augusta in relief. He allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits in 1.2 innings pitched.
J. Ben Hayes finished with three singles and one RBI. Jackson Thomas collected a pair of singles, drove in two runs, and scored a run. Aidan Cannaday went 2-for-4 with a double, he scored twice and knocked in another run. Wyatt Talik finished with two singles and one RBI.
