AIKEN, S.C. –
Jax Bouknight scored a team-high 24 points and grabbed five rebounds in Flagler College's 88-63 loss at USC Aiken in a Peach Belt Conference Men's Basketball Tournament quarterfinal game Wednesday night at the Convocation Center.
Flagler ended its season with a 15-13 overall record. USC Aiken won its fourth game in a row and improved to 21-8 overall. The Pacers will face the University of North Georgia in a semifinal game at Columbus, Georgia.
The Pacers opened the game on a 21-2 run and never looked back. They held a 42-25 lead at the half. USC Aiken forced 15 Flagler turnovers that led to 16 points.
Destin Clark added 15 points for the Saints.
Josiah Shackelford chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds.
Jalen McCoy led the Pacers with 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field and 8-of-10 shooting from the free throw line. Davion Cunningham added 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Rafael Rubel tacked on 12 points.
