AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College's
Drew Rosenberg was selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Pitcher of the Week for the period ending March 16, according to a release by conference officials this afternoon.
This is the second consecutive week a Flagler pitcher has won the weekly award (
Daniel Fischer, March 10).
The Orlando, Florida native posted a 2-0 record and a 1.80 earned run average in two relief appearances last week. He got the win in relief against No. 22 (ABCA Division II Top 30) Rollins College after tossing 1.2 innings and he only allowed one run on two hits with three strikeouts. Flagler went on to win, 8-5. In the second game Saturday, Rosenberg tossed 3.1 scoreless innings and allowed two hits with four strikeouts as Flagler rallied to a 10-6 win at USC Aiken.
For the season, Rosenberg holds a 3-0 record with a 1.96 ERA in 10 relief appearances. He has 19 strikeouts in 18.1 innings pitched and has held opponents to a .194 batting average.
