GAINESVILLE, Fla. - With an end to the winter track and field season in sight, the Flagler College Saints wrapped up another meet on Friday at the Celebration Pointe Indoor Classic.
Competing against a plethora of quality competition such as Jacksonville University, the University of North Florida, the University of Florida, and the University of South Florida, a handful of Saints were able to make some noise in their respective events.
Sophomore
John Carbone stood the tallest for the Saints in the 800 meter race. Making the podium, Carbone placed third overall with a new personal time of 1:52.32.
Caden Vann continues his excellence in the 60 meter hurdles with a brand new personal record. Clocking in at 8:27, Vann placed fourth overall.
Kruz Jimenez jumped his way into the seventh place in the long jump in a pool of 33 jumpers. Covering 6.67 meters, this was Kruz's second top 10 finish this season.
Throws saw
Jude Daly put up a stellar performance in the shot put. Winning his heat, Daly placed ninth overall with his new personal best, 13.49 meters.
Malachi South continued to lead the 200 meter dash for the Saints, placing 11th overall. South had his second fast race of the season, coming in at 22.44.
The Saints will hit the track next week for the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Feb. 17th.
