ST. AUGUSTINE -
Sydney Onega lead No. 7 (IWLCA Division II Top 25) Flagler College with three goals but it wasn't enough as No. 14 Saint Leo University came away with a 10-9 victory in a non-conference women's lacrosse game Saturday afternoon at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.

The Saints dropped to 1-2 for the season so far. The Lions improved to 3-0. The Saints will hit the road to face their next opponent, Lynn University on Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. at Bobby Campbell Stadium.
Tied at 7-all early in the fourth quarter, Sophia Wood and Holly Hill scored back-to-back goals to put the Lions up for good, 9-7.
Onega's goal with 11:12 left got the Saints back to within a goal, but Marina Dean scored the insurance goal with 8:18 left.

Ella Pinder and
Eva Stine both scored two goals for the Saints.
Carley Tepel added a goal and an assist.
Molly Sloan had four groundballs and caused a turnover for the Saints defense. Lauren Ribadeniera stood out with eight saves and a groundball.
Jana Nuss and Wood each scored two goals and had two assists for Saint Leo. Jessica Harclerode had nine saves.
