Saints in 11th place after 36 holes at the National Preview

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Flagler College men's golf team is in 11th place after carding an even par 576 (293-283) through two rounds at the National Preview, which was played today at the Boulder Creek Golf Club (par 72; 7,421 yards).

The final round begins tomorrow at 11 a.m. (EDT) with a shotgun start.

The field has six teams that played in last year's NCAA Division II National Championship. The course for this tournament will be the same one used for the national championship this spring.

Cal State University Chico tops the 17-team field with a 29-under 547 (270-277). The Wildcats hold a commanding 11-stroke lead over Midwestern State University who shot an 18-under 558 (287-271). Lynn University sits in third place with a 17-under 559 (284-275). Cal State University East Bay follows in fourth place with a 16-under 560 (281-279) while Missouri S&T rounds out the top five with a 13-under 563 (291-272).

Ben Mouser of Chico State leads the 94-man field with a 10-under 134 (67-67). Seth Bearden of Midwestern State is one shot back with a 9-under 135 (68-67). There is a three-way tie for third place with an 8-under 136.

Masen McKain leads the Saints with a 3-under 141 (75-66) and is in a tie for 18th place. PJ Herron is tied for 28th place with a 2-under 142 (73-69). Nic Eberhard carded a 3-over 147 (73-74) while Dylan Mason and Rocco Randazzo are tied for 66th place at 5-over. Lucas Escudero follows at 6-over.
