AUGUSTA, Ga. - Clare Sheedy and Marley Middlebrooks of the Flagler College volleyball team were named Peach Belt Conference Specialist and Player of the week after their two win weekend, by conference officials this afternoon.

The Saints defeated Georgia College & State University twice. Middlebrooks and Sheedy both finished with match highs in both of the matches.

Through two games, Sheedy finished with 80 assists with 45 coming from their match on Friday. Sheedy also tied for fourth in most digs this weekend for the Saints, accumulating 10. This is Sheedy's third time receiving recognition as specialist of the week.

Middlebrooks was named player of the week for the first time in her career. Through the weekend, Middlebrooks finished with 32 kills. During the first match, Middlebrooks finished with 18 kills and two aces. In game two, Middlebrooks posted a career high .458 hitting percentage on 14 kills. In aces, Middlebrooks set a new personal best with three.
