MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Flagler College volleyball, led by
Marley Middlebrooks, completed the weekend sweep against Georgia College & State University after their 3-0 (26-24, 25-15, 25-17) win this afternoon at the Centennial Center.
The Saints add on to their now five win streak, moving to 13-11 overall and 7-2 in conference. The Bobcats drop to 12-11 overall and 2-7 in conference. Flagler will travel for their next match at Saint Leo University on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Middlebrooks covered almost all branches of the match for Saints, leading them in three of the five major statistical categories. On offense, Middlebrooks finished with a match high 14 kills, putting together a .458 hitting percentage. Middlebrooks also posted a match high in digs with eight and aces with three.
Clare Sheedy finished with another match high 35 assists while also notching one ace.
Gracie Fleming continued to lead the Saints defense with another three block match.
The Bobcats were led by Camryn Carlton and Kaylee Weeks who both finished with seven kills. Weeks also led the home team in digs with six. In assists, Riese Johnson finished with 16 while also finding one ace. Emerysn Mullvain led the Bobcats in aces with two.
